DeLisle is a small Harrison County community in southern Mississippi, located along Interstate 10 about 15 miles inland from the Gulf Coast. Exit 24 off I-10 provides direct access via Highway 603, connecting travelers to New Orleans (60 miles west) and Mobile (80 miles east). The town sits in the humid subtropical climate zone with hot summers and mild winters. Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is 25 miles southeast via I-10 and local highways. DeLisle Elementary School has served the community continuously since the early 1900s.
