Delcambre is a small Cajun fishing town in Vermilion Parish, about 20 miles southwest of Lafayette via Highway 14. The town sits where the Vermilion River meets Delcambre Canal, surrounded by coastal marshlands and sugarcane fields. Highway 14 connects east to Abbeville and west toward Lake Charles, while US 90 provides access to the Interstate 10 corridor. The annual Shrimp Festival celebrates the town's commercial fishing fleet, one of Louisiana's largest.
