Delavan is a small Wisconsin city about 45 minutes southwest of Milwaukee via I-43, taking Exit 21 onto Highway 11. The town sits in lake country near the Illinois border, with Highway 50 connecting east to Burlington and Highway 11 running west to Janesville. Delavan earned the nickname "Circus City of America" in the 1800s when it served as winter headquarters for traveling circuses, including P.T. Barnum's shows.
