Delavan is a small farming community in central Illinois, about 20 miles southeast of Peoria via Interstate 155 and State Route 122. The town sits in rolling prairie country typical of the region, with corn and soybean fields extending in all directions. Most visitors arrive from Peoria using I-155 south to the Route 122 exit. The town's historic grain elevator, built in the 1920s, towers over Main Street and remains active during harvest season.
