Delano is a Wright County city of about 7,000 people, located 30 miles west of Minneapolis along Highway 12. The main route from the Twin Cities follows I-494 or Highway 55 west to Highway 12. County roads connect it to nearby lake communities and Rockford. The restored 1913 Municipal Building anchors downtown and serves as the starting point for the annual Wright County Fair parade.
