Deep River is a small farming town in south-central Iowa, reachable via Highway 21 from Grinnell (25 miles north) or Montezuma (8 miles north). The area is classic Corn Belt territory with endless agricultural fields. Most visitors come through Grinnell off Interstate 80, then take Highway 21 south. The town's claim to fame is its historic covered bridge over the Skunk River, one of Iowa's few remaining covered bridges.
