Dearborn Heights is a Wayne County suburb about 20 minutes west of downtown Detroit via Telegraph Road or Michigan Avenue. I-94 runs along the north side, connecting to Chicago and Grand Rapids, while Ford Road links neighboring communities. The city uniquely operates from two separate city halls on opposite sides of Telegraph Road, reflecting its 1963 merger of two communities.
