De Witt is a small farming town of 437 people in southeastern Nebraska's Saline County. Highway 103 runs through town, connecting to Highway 4 for access from Beatrice (15 miles) or Crete (20 miles). Most long-distance travelers route through Lincoln, 45 miles north. The town's historic grain elevator towers over the prairie, serving as a landmark visible for miles across the flat countryside.
