Dawson is a small Pennsylvania borough of 388 people in Fayette County, reached via US Route 119 from Connellsville (15 miles north) or Uniontown (10 miles south). State Route 981 provides east-west access through town. The community sits in the Appalachian foothills along the Youghiogheny River, where an old railroad bridge still crosses the water.
