Davis is a small mountain town and Tucker County seat in eastern West Virginia's Allegheny Mountains. At 3,099 feet elevation, it's the state's highest incorporated community, creating cooler temperatures and snowy winters perfect for nearby ski areas. Access comes via winding US Route 32 from either US 219 north through Maryland or US 33 from the Elkins area. The town centers around its restored 1907 courthouse with its distinctive red brick facade and prominent clock tower.
