Dassel is a small farming town in west-central Minnesota, about 60 miles west of Minneapolis via Highway 12. The main routes are Highway 12 running east-west through town and Highway 15 heading north-south to places like Hutchinson and St. Cloud. The historic Eidem Homestead downtown preserves early Norwegian immigrant farm life with guided tours.
