Darien is a small coastal Georgia town where US Highway 17 meets the Altamaha River delta. It's 60 miles south of Savannah and 20 miles north of Brunswick via US 17, with I-95 access at Exit 49. The historic county seat offers access to pristine salt marshes and barrier islands. Fort King George features Georgia's oldest remaining English-built structure from 1721.
