Danville is a small Knox County village of about 600 people, located 15 miles northeast of Mount Vernon on State Route 36. Most visitors arrive via I-71 to the Mount Vernon exit, then take US-36 east through farmland. The village sits in Ohio's rolling agricultural heartland and is notable for having one of the state's few remaining covered bridges still open to vehicle traffic.
