Cusick is a tiny community of 133 people in northeast Washington's Pend Oreille County, reached via State Route 20 from Newport (15 miles north) or from Spokane via US-2 to Newport then SR-20 (65 miles total). The scenic drive follows the Pend Oreille River through dense forests near the Idaho border. The old railroad bridge spanning the river serves as the town's most recognizable landmark.
