Curtis is a small farming town in south-central Nebraska, home to about 770 people and serving as Frontier County's seat. Highway 18 runs right through town, connecting east to Holdrege and west to Imperial. Most out-of-town visitors drive north on Highway 23 to reach Interstate 80 near Lexington, about 45 miles away. The town sits in rolling agricultural country typical of Nebraska's grain belt. Curtis is home to the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, one of the oldest agricultural technical colleges in the country, established in 1913.
