Cumby is a small East Texas town of 720 people, located 15 miles southwest of Sulphur Springs via Highway 11. Most visitors arrive from Dallas on Interstate 30, then take Highway 11 southwest for about 80 miles total. The town sits in rolling countryside with hot summers and mild winters. Cumby hosts an annual Founders Day Festival each September that centers around crowning the Dairy Festival Queen.
