Culver City is a compact entertainment hub in west LA, bordered by the 405 freeway and just 15 minutes from LAX. The I-10 runs along its southern edge while surface streets like Culver and Washington boulevards connect to Santa Monica and Venice. Popular routes include commuter traffic from the Valley via the 405 and beach-bound weekenders using local arterials. Sony Pictures Studios still operates from the lot where "The Wizard of Oz" was filmed in 1939.
