Culdesac is a small river town of 411 people along Highway 95 in north-central Idaho's wheat country. It's 20 miles north of Lewiston and 45 minutes south of Moscow, making it a quiet stop along the route between the Palouse and the Clearwater River valley. The town got its name from French trappers who found themselves in a dead-end canyon while exploring the area.
