Culbertson is a farming town of 634 people in southwestern Nebraska, about 25 miles from McCook via US Highway 34. Most visitors arrive on Highway 34 from McCook or take Highway 83 south from North Platte. The town sits in typical Great Plains country along the Republican River. Its towering concrete grain elevator from the 1950s serves as a landmark visible for miles along Highway 34.
