Crystal is a Twin Cities suburb in Hennepin County, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis. Major routes include I-694 along the south edge and Highway 169 running north-south through the eastern part of town. The city sits between Minneapolis and the outer suburbs, making it a convenient base for metro area commuting. Crystal Airport, a small general aviation facility on the west side, gives the city its most recognizable landmark.
