Crows Nest is a tiny Marion County community of about 100 people, located 15 miles southwest of Indianapolis via I-70 and county roads. The area sits in flat farmland typical of central Indiana, with hot summers and cold winters. Indianapolis International Airport is about 20 miles northeast for air travelers. The town got its name from a large tree that once served as a prominent roosting spot for crows across the surrounding countryside.
