Crossville is a small city of about 2,100 people in northeast Alabama's DeKalb County, nestled in the Appalachian foothills. The main route is State Route 68, which runs right through town and connects to I-59 via US 278 from the south or US 11 from Fort Payne to the north. It's about 60 miles from Birmingham and 45 miles from Chattanooga. The town got its name from sitting at the crossroads of two important 19th-century roads.
