Creola is a tiny Grant Parish town of 220 people nestled in central Louisiana's pine country. Take Highway 165 north from Alexandria, then Highway 8 west for 15 miles to reach this quiet community. Most visitors arrive via Alexandria, which offers the nearest airport and services about 20 miles southeast. The town preserves one of Louisiana's last intact one-room schoolhouses from the early 1900s.
