Cranfills Gap is a small Hill Country town of 300 people along Highway 6, about 30 miles northwest of Waco. The community sits in a natural gap through the limestone ridges, which gives both the town and the main route their character. Highway 6 provides easy access from Waco and continues north toward Dallas-Fort Worth via Hillsboro. The town literally sits in the geographical gap that early settlers used to cross the hills.
