Crane is a small Ozarks town of 1,760 people in Stone County, sitting 25 miles northeast of Branson. Highway 413 runs right through town and connects to Highway 65, the main north-south route between Springfield and Branson. The town still has one of Missouri's last manual railroad crossings where an operator physically lowers the crossing arms for passing trains.
