Craigsville is a small Augusta County town of about 1,100 people nestled in Virginia's Appalachian foothills along US Route 250. Most visitors arrive via I-64 to Staunton, then take a scenic 20-minute drive west on US 250 through rolling farmland. The town sits where Route 42 intersects US 250, creating the main crossroads for this rural mountain community. Craigsville is home to the historic Humpback Bridge, one of Virginia's few remaining covered bridges still open to traffic.
