Coweta sits about 25 miles southeast of Tulsa in Oklahoma's green hill country. Highway 51 provides the main route from Tulsa and Broken Arrow, while Highway 72 runs north-south through town toward Wagoner and Fort Gibson Lake. The drive from Tulsa takes about 30 minutes along well-maintained roads. The restored Coweta Mission School building anchors the historic downtown district.
