Covington is a farming community of 3,000 in west-central Indiana's Fountain County along the Wabash River valley. US Highway 136 runs through town, connecting to I-74 about 20 miles east near Veedersburg, making it the main route from Indianapolis and other major cities. State Road 28 provides north-south access to Lafayette and Crawfordsville. The town's 1874 courthouse features a distinctive Second Empire clock tower that's been keeping time for nearly 150 years.
