Cove is a tiny bayfront community of about 400 people on Galveston Bay's eastern shore, 30 miles east of Houston. Take I-10 east to Highway 146 south for the most direct route from the city. The area sits in flat coastal terrain just above sea level, with Gulf breezes moderating the humid subtropical climate. The volunteer fire station doubles as the town's main community hub.
