Countryside is a small Cook County city about 20 miles southwest of Chicago, home to around 6,000 residents. Interstate 55 provides the main route to downtown Chicago, while Route 83 connects north to LaGrange and south to surrounding suburbs. Most traffic flows northeast toward the city or north through the western suburbs. The community serves as overflow parking for the popular Brookfield Zoo during busy weekends.
