Cotati is a small Sonoma County city of 7,500 people located on Highway 101 between Petaluma and Santa Rosa, about 50 miles north of San Francisco. The town sits in rolling wine country hills with a Mediterranean climate and serves as a convenient stopping point for North Bay travelers. Cotati hosts the annual Cotati Accordion Festival each August, one of America's few events dedicated entirely to accordion music.
