Cortland is a college town in central New York's Finger Lakes region, about 35 miles south of Syracuse via I-81. Home to SUNY Cortland, the city sits among rolling hills with easy access to Route 13 south to Ithaca. The downtown area features several EV charging stations near the campus. Cortland is the birthplace of the safety pin, invented here in 1849.
