Corning is a tiny farming town of 187 people in northeast Kansas, about 20 miles northwest of Seneca. You'll reach it via US Highway 36 and State Highway 9, which cut through the rolling prairie and cornfields. The area sees typical Kansas weather with hot summers and snowy winters. The town still follows its original 1880s street grid, with old building foundations marking where the main commercial strip once stood.
