Coolidge is a tiny farming town of about 30 people in far western Kansas, just 15 miles from Colorado. US Highway 50 runs right through town, connecting it east to Syracuse and west into Colorado. The grain elevator dominates the flat prairie landscape and serves as a landmark visible for miles around.
