Conrad is a small farming town in central Iowa's Grundy County, reached via Highway 14 from Marshalltown about 20 miles south. Most visitors drive from Des Moines in roughly an hour using Interstate 35 north to Highway 30 west, then Highway 14 north. The town sits in Iowa's corn and soybean country with typical continental weather. Conrad's main street runs right along Highway 14, the primary route through town.
