Congerville is a farming town of about 750 people in central Illinois, roughly 20 miles northeast of Peoria. Drivers reach it via I-74 to Exit 112, then north on rural roads through corn and soybean country. Chicago visitors take I-55 south to I-74 west for about 2.5 hours. The town still operates an 1890s grain elevator during harvest season.
