Condon serves as Gilliam County's seat in Oregon's wheat belt, sitting at 2,800 feet among rolling hills about 30 miles south of Interstate 84. Highway 19 runs north-south through town, while Highway 206 connects east-west to Fossil and Wasco. Most visitors drive from Portland via I-84 to Highway 19, about 150 miles total.
