Commerce sits in northeastern Oklahoma along US Highway 69, about 8 miles south of Miami and near the Kansas border. The small city connects to Interstate 44 via Miami for longer trips to Tulsa or Oklahoma City. Local routes primarily follow Highway 69 between Commerce and Miami, while regional travelers pass through heading to Grand Lake or the Tri-State area. Commerce operates one of Oklahoma's last manually operated traffic lights.
