Commerce is a tiny farming town of 64 people in Missouri's Bootheel, reached via Highway 77 from I-55 at Benton. The drive takes you through flat Delta farmland about 15 miles southeast of Cape Girardeau. The town sits among vast soybean and corn fields, with Cape Girardeau Regional Airport 20 miles northwest. Commerce's grain elevator remains one of the few still operating in Scott County.
