Comfrey is a small farming town of 338 people in south-central Minnesota, sitting along US Highway 14 between New Ulm and Sleepy Eye. The main route from the Twin Cities follows US-169 south to Mankato, then Highway 14 west for about 90 miles total. The town's water tower, painted with the Comfrey Cougars mascot, serves as a visible landmark from the highway.
