Combes is a small farming town in South Texas, about 15 miles north of Harlingen via US Highway 77. The city of 3,200 sits in prime agricultural land where citrus and vegetable farming dominate the economy. Valley International Airport is just 12 miles south, and Highway 106 connects east-west to the coast. The water tower features a colorful mural celebrating local agriculture that's visible from the main highway.
