Comanche is a small central Texas city about 90 miles southwest of Fort Worth, accessible via US Highway 377 from the Dallas area or Highway 16 from Austin. The town sits in rolling hill country and serves as the county seat. Its 1939 Art Deco limestone courthouse is one of the few Depression-era courthouses in Texas built in this distinctive style.
