Columbia is a small parish seat in north-central Louisiana, home to about 345 people along the Ouachita River. US Highway 165 runs north-south through town, connecting to Monroe 45 miles southwest and Arkansas to the north. Highway 4 provides the east-west link to Ruston and I-20. The town sits amid pine forests and farmland, with the 1950 red brick courthouse and its clock tower serving as the central landmark.
