Colony is a tiny farming town in southwestern Oklahoma's wheat country, about 15 miles west of Cordell via Highway 152. Most visitors arrive from Oklahoma City by taking I-40 west to the Cordell exit, then heading south and west through rolling prairie dotted with oil wells. The town's towering grain elevator serves as a landmark visible for miles across the flat plains.
