Colfax is a small farming town in central Indiana where State Road 38 runs right through the middle as Main Street. Most folks here commute the 25 miles southeast to Lafayette for work, making SR 38 the busiest local route. The painted water tower with "Colfax" in big letters can be spotted from miles away across the flat farmland.
