Cold Spring is a Hudson River village about 50 miles north of NYC, reached via Route 9D from I-684 and I-84. The scenic drive along the river passes through the Hudson Highlands, popular with weekend visitors from the metropolitan area. Metro-North trains also connect to Grand Central. The village's Main Street preserves buildings from the historic West Point Foundry, which manufactured Civil War cannons.
