Cohasset is a small Iron Range city in north-central Minnesota, about 15 miles southeast of Grand Rapids on Highway 2. The area features rolling forested terrain with numerous lakes. Highway 2 connects directly to Grand Rapids and continues to Duluth 80 miles away, while Highway 38 provides north-south access. Most traffic involves short commutes to Grand Rapids, though recreational visitors arrive via Highway 2 from Duluth or the Twin Cities. The town's centerpiece is the historic 1922 Cohasset Community Center, a former school building.
