Cogswell is a small farming town in southeastern North Dakota, about 45 miles southwest of Fargo via Highway 11. The grain elevator towers over the surrounding prairie farmland, visible for miles across the flat landscape and serving as a landmark for travelers on the main north-south route through Sargent County.
