Coats is a small town in central North Carolina, about 25 miles south of Raleigh via US-27. Most visitors exit I-95 at US-27 (Exit 73) for the short drive west, while locals often use US-401 south from Raleigh. The town of 1,600 sits in rolling farmland and is known for its restored 1920s railroad depot that now serves as town hall.
