Coats Bend is a small Etowah County community in northeastern Alabama's rolling hill country. You'll reach it via US Highway 278 and State Route 9, connecting from Interstate 59 about 15 miles west. Most visitors drive from Gadsden (20 miles) or fly into Northeast Alabama Regional Airport nearby. The town sits at a distinctive bend in the Coosa River that gave the community its name.
